Close to where I live is The Lake, an aquatic sanctuary bordering a national park. The Lake is a prime wildlife habitat especially for water birds, some of which include black swans, pelicans and many variety of ducks. Land dwellers include kangaroos, goannas, possums and echidnas. Plant life is varied with hundreds of species located throughout the park.
I walk at The Lake most days. It's a peaceful place, somewhere to slow down, be present and discover the hidden gems of nature. Removing colour, allows me to find the true essence of the subject, the lines, the shapes, the movement. This is a sneak peak from a series I'm working on. The curious echidna was obviously wanting to be a part of the story!
